# Cool eye expression
# Natural and clear

What is Team Plastic Surgery?

Canthoplasty enhances the size and openness of the eyes by refining the inner, outer, upper, or lower canthus. By expanding both the length and height of the eyes, it creates a brighter, larger, and more refreshed appearance.

It is particularly suitable for individuals who feel that double-eyelid surgery alone did not create enough openness. This procedure is quick, has a relatively short recovery period, and effectively enhances the overall eye impression. At DU, the design is tailored to each person’s anatomy and aesthetic goals to deliver the most harmonious outcome.

Canthoplasty restoration corrects issues such as scarring, excessive opening, unnatural angles, or asymmetry caused by prior canthoplasty. The goal is to restore natural, clear, and balanced eyes. If previous results left you with an unnatural shape or visible scarring, DU’s precise approach can recover the clarity, proportion, and harmony of your eye area.

Which type of canthoplasty suits my eyes?

DU Signature Dual Canthoplasty

DU’s Signature Dual Canthoplasty combines both lower canthoplasty and lateral canthoplasty to maximize horizontal and vertical eye expansion.
This technique creates larger, more refined, and naturally pure-looking eyes.
If the outer corners of your eyes are tilted upward or give a sharp, intense impression, Dual Canthoplasty softens the expression and brings balance to the overall eye line, resulting in a gentler, more harmonious look.

Medial Canthoplasty (Front Incision Method)

Medial canthoplasty expands the horizontal length of the eyes and corrects epicanthic folds, creating eyes that look clearer, more open, and naturally refreshed.
When combined with double-eyelid surgery, the synergy is even greater.
By adjusting the inner canthus and balancing the distance between the eyes, this procedure enhances overall facial proportions and brings harmony to your features.

Upper Canthoplasty

Upper canthoplasty elevates the starting point of the upper eyelid, creating eyes that look brighter, clearer, and naturally more open.
It enlarges the eyes while maintaining the natural distance between the eyebrows, and it reveals the inner portion of the double-eyelid crease in a clean, defined way.
This procedure enhances the front eye line, giving you a clearer, softer, and more refined expression.

Postoperative Care for Lateral Canthoplasty

Lateral canthoplasty widens the outer corner of the eye, extending the horizontal length and creating a clearer, softer, and more open look.
It is an excellent option for individuals who want to soften a sharp or intense impression and enhance the overall harmony of the eye shape.

Lower Canthoplasty

Lower canthoplasty adjusts the height and outward direction of the lower eyelid, enlarging the visible area of the eyes and creating a softer, more relaxed impression.
This procedure allows for precise angle refinement and produces an even greater effect when combined with lateral canthoplasty.
Together, they enhance both the size and harmony of the eyes for a balanced, naturally open look.

Medial Canthoplasty Restoration

Medial canthoplasty restoration corrects issues such as overexposed inner corners, visible scarring, or asymmetry caused by a previous medial canthoplasty procedure.
It restores the natural contour of the inner eye and recreates balanced, harmonious proportions.
At DU, restoration is fully customized through a detailed analysis of each patient’s anatomy and eyelid condition.
When necessary, additional concerns such as scarring, wrinkles, or tissue irregularities can also be addressed to achieve a smooth and natural result.

Lateral Canthoplasty Restoration (Back-Canthus Correction)

Lateral canthoplasty restoration is a procedure that corrects eyes that look unnatural due to excessive scarring, abnormal adhesions, conjunctival exposure, or dissatisfaction with a previous canthoplasty result.
By meticulously restoring the inner conjunctival tissue, ligament structures, fascia, muscle, and skin layers, DU reconstructs the canthal angle and recreates a crease that is stable, natural, and customized to each patient’s eye condition.
