forehead
A confident impression, a small but ideal facial proportions
What is forehead reduction?
Improve the impression of a wide forehead and complete the ideal facial proportions
DU Plastic Surgery Clinic minimizes scarring and maintains a natural hairline by applying a zigzag incision along the hairline + a 45-degree diagonal incision + micro-suturing. A customized design is performed according to the patient's forehead width, scalp elasticity, and hairline condition, and the double fixation method of the bone tunneling method prevents the forehead from stretching again and prevents the scar from widening.
This anatomy-based procedure minimizes the risk of damage to the forehead nerve, enhancing safety. Furthermore, its combined capabilities with endoscopic forehead lifts allow for a more harmonious impression. It offers a more natural look and faster recovery than hair transplants.

What's special about Du forehead reduction
DU Forehead Reduction VS Hair Transplant
| Type | DU forehead reduction | Hair Transplant |
|---|---|---|
| principle | Reduces forehead skin and scalp by moving them forward | Hair follicles are harvested from the back of the head and transplanted to the front line of the forehead. |
| Surgery time | About 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes | About 4 to 6 hours or more |
| hairline | Move along your own hairline → Very natural | May appear unnatural depending on the transplant angle or density |
| scar | Minimize scarring with zigzag diagonal incisions along the hairline | May leave an incision or punch mark on the back of the head |
| Recovery Period | short | relatively long |
| Durability of effect | Semi-permanent, unlikely to be re-expanded | Effectiveness varies depending on the graft survival rate. |
