Failed Rhinoplasty, Reborn

# Last rhinoplasty
# Precision 3D analysis
# DU SafeCore™ Nasal Tip Stabilization System

What is rhinoplasty?

More precise than the first surgery, Designed to be the last surgery.

Rhinoplasty is a highly complex surgery that restores both function and structure, rather than simply correcting the shape.
DU Plastic Surgery uses the SafeCore™ nose tip stabilization system and precise 3D CT analysis to accurately identify the cause of failure and redesign it reliably.

Additionally, with specialized know-how in autologous and donated rib cartilage, we reconstruct the collapsed structure and complete a nose line that best suits the patient's face.

Revision Rhinoplasty When is the best time?

The most appropriate time is when swelling and inflammation have stabilized after surgery, usually at least 6 months to 1 year later.

Because the condition of the skin and soft tissues must be restored, It is safest to avoid hasty decisions and decide on the timing of surgery through a specialist's diagnosis.
In cases where functional problems such as breathing difficulties are present or early correction is required, early revision surgery may be decided.

Types of rhinoplasty

01

Falling nose tip

This is caused by a weak structure supporting the tip of the nose or an abnormal position of the prosthesis. The DU SafeCore™ tip stabilization system reconstructs the tip of the nose into a stable structure.

02

Coraine dissatisfaction

If the aesthetic balance, such as the height of the nose bridge or the angle of the nose tip, is not right, it is redesigned taking into account the overall harmony.

03

crooked nose

It improves asymmetry caused by congenital curvature or prosthesis deviation, creating a straight line even in the frontal view.

04

Unimproved Bokko

If the wide nasal tip does not improve even after rhinoplasty, it can be improved through cartilage shaping and reinforcement of the supporting structure.

05

Still the same beak

The remaining protruding part (beak) on the bridge of the nose is delicately trimmed to complete a soft line.

06

If inflammation occurs

In cases of chronic inflammation or risk of implant exposure, replacement surgery is performed using a safe reconstructive method after removing the inflammation.

07

If the prosthesis moves

If the prosthesis moves due to insufficient fixation, it is improved with precise fixation and structural stabilization, and if necessary, a 3D custom prosthesis is used.

08

If the prosthesis is visible

The phenomenon of blemishes caused by thin skin or abnormal positioning of the implant is resolved through replacement and soft tissue reinforcement.

09

Buildup due to side effects

When tissues become hard and deformed due to inflammation or side effects, the built-up soft tissue and cartilage are rebuilt to restore their natural shape.

After the rhinoplasty
Postoperative Care

  1. In the case of rhinoplasty, smoking and drinking must be avoided for at least one month. Excessive exercise and sauna use should also be avoided.
  2. To minimize swelling and bruising, we recommend using cold compresses for three days. Apply for 3 to 15 minutes, then rest for five minutes.
  3. You must sleep in an upright position for 7 days.
  4. Bruising, swelling, and pain may occur for a few days after surgery. These will disappear after about a week, depending on individual differences.
  5. Do not remove any bandages, plasters, or cotton after surgery.
  6. Accessories such as glasses and sunglasses may be worn after 4 weeks.
  7. You may experience symptoms such as tingling, pulling, tingling, and numbness for about a month, but this is normal.
  8. If you suddenly experience pain, swelling, or redness, please visit a hospital.
  9. Avoid contact with water around the stitches until the stitches are removed.
